Alex Waddey

alexwaddey@nashvilleceltics.comAlex was a three year starter at Montgomery Bell Academy, playing under Coach Joe Toni, who later served a number of years as head coach at the University of the South. Alex is a founder of the Nashville Celtics Basketball Association and has been a coach at the senior level since the inception of our program. His teams have been successful at the highest level of competition, practically all of the players on the senior level teams that he has coached have gone on to play at one level or another in college and he is known for spotting talent, developing, and getting talent in the right position to advance a player’s careers to the next level.
Justin Woods

justin@nashvilleceltics.comJustin is the head coach of the 17’s and has served over the past two year with the Celtics, first as the assistant coach of the 16’s and then last year as the head coach of the 16's. His first team was tremendously successful, winning the Real Deal in the Rock and finishing high in several other tournaments. The team would probably have won several more events had it not been hit by injuries. Justin played at Freed Hardeman and is now the assistant boy’s basketball coach at Sycamore High School.
Josh Goodwin

josh@nashvilleceltics.comJosh joins the Celtics as an assistant after having spent four years as a valuable contributor to the Belmont Men's Basketball Program. Josh's coaching philosophy follows that of his mentor, Rick Byrd, and he will be a valuable asset to our program at this level. He is also an assistant at Sycamore.
